Oasis of Hope

The Ministry, of Oasis of Hope was born in the heart of a Kenya national. The Lord brought him to the United States to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and ultimately return to his native homeland to minister among his people. God has always called out an individual to do His work and impact the lives of people for His kingdom. In the midst of the capital of Kenya, God, in His infinite wisdom, reached down and touched the heart of Chacha D. Mwita. Brother Chacha has a vision of establishing training centers, beginning in his homeland and spreading across Africa. The Training Centers will equip pastors and the laity to accomplish the work of God.

Vision Statement

OHMI exists to promote and encourage education among pastors, laity, and women leaders within the Christian faith and to perform other religious and charitable activities that alleviate suffering and reduce ignorance in order to present everyone perfect in Christ. Our biblical mandate s Colossians 1:28, "Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." And 2 Timothy 2:2, "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

We work with churches, Christian institutions of higher learning, and para-church organizations to provide short-term training to pastors, lay leaders, and youth in rural parts of Africa. At the same time, through speaking at mission seminars, we encourage and challenge church members to be involved in Missions. (click here for dates & venues). Currently, OHMI is engaged in establishing the first Training Center in Kenya. Upon completion, this center will have a 3200ft² Church Hall, 12,800ft² of Classrooms/Library/Administration Block, 9600ft² Residence hall, Kitchen and Dining Area.
